In this article, we highlight the most important features introduced in Dell PowerStore OS 4.3:
Support for 30 TB QLC SSDs: Added support for 30 TB SSDs in PowerStore 3200Q and 5200Q appliances, increasing capacity density and improving cost efficiency.
Dynamic licensing: Introduced dynamic licensing to simplify the management of Dell product licenses. When Support Connectivity is enabled on a PowerStore cluster, the system automatically obtains licenses from Dell.
Fast drive copy: Added the ability to copy the contents of an SSD to a new SSD in cases of drive wear, simplifying SSD replacement and improving system serviceability. An automatic mode is triggered when an SSD reaches 97% wear, copying the data to a new SSD and allowing the safe removal of the worn-out drive.
NFSv4.2 support: Added support for NFSv4.2, providing advanced features that enhance performance, security, and functionality for enterprise file workloads.
Synchronous replication over Fibre Channel for block resources: Added support for synchronous replication over Fibre Channel (FC) for block resources, enabling the use of existing network infrastructure, enhancing security, and ensuring fault-domain separation.
Asynchronous replication over Fibre Channel for file resources: Added support for asynchronous replication over Fibre Channel (FC) for file resources, enabling the use of existing network infrastructure, enhancing security, and ensuring fault-domain separation.
